Combination of devices
Control lamps and indicators
The whole complex of control lamps and indicators by means of which the driver obtains important information on serviceability/violation functioning of the main units and systems of the car is built in assembly of a combination of devices of the car. The scheme of an arrangement of control lamps on an instrument guard is submitted on an illustration. Below information on the principle of functioning of each of the provided light indicators separately is offered to attention of the reader.
Control lamps of indexes of turn
1. Two control lamps in the form of arrows have a green luminescence and serve for control of serviceability of functioning of the corresponding indexes of turns. The direction of indicator arrows coincides with the chosen direction of change of course of the car. Control lamps work in the flashing mode with a frequency, the corresponding frequency of a blinking of indexes of turn. The speeded-up blinking of one of control lamps usually demonstrates burn-out of a lamp of one of indexes of the corresponding turn. Follows at the first opportunity to make replacement of the burned-down lamp not to create emergencies on roads. |
2. Turning on of the alarm system usually is followed by a simultaneous blinking of control lamps of indexes of both turns.
Control lamp of inclusion of driving beam
This light indicator lights up along with inclusion of driving beam of head headlights of the car and differs in a characteristic blue luminescence. |
Control lamp of inclusion of forward fog lights
Inclusion of forward fog lights of the car is followed by operation of this control lamp. The lamp has a green luminescence. |
Control lamp of inclusion of back foggy lamps
The lamp differs in an amber luminescence and serves for indication of inclusion of back foggy lamps. |
Control lamp of level of liquid of washing of glasses
This lamp shines yellow light and serves for the notice of the driver on the termination of a reserve of liquid of washing of glasses/lenses of head headlights. |
Control lamp of pressure of motive oil
The control lamp has an amber luminescence and serves for the notice of the driver on dangerous decrease in level of motive oil. The lamp also quickly works at start of the engine. |
Control lamp of leaky closing of doors
Burning of this control lamp warns the driver that not all doors of the car are densely shut. The lamp has a red luminescence. |
Control lamp of raising of a parking brake / failures of the brake system
1. The control lamp (red) continuously burns at raising of the parking brake, reminding the driver of need of his otpuskaniye before a start of motion. The movement with the cocked parking brake leads to a bystry overheat and failure of brake mechanisms of back wheels of the car and premature wear of protectors of tires of back wheels, but also, can become a cause of infringement of serviceability of functioning of system of anti-blocking of brakes (ABS). |
2. If the control lamp continues to burn after an otpuskaniye of the parking brake, or joins in time of the movement, it usually demonstrates excessive falling of level of brake fluid. One of the possible reasons of gradual decrease in level of brake fluid is normal wear of frictional overlays of brake shoes. At operation of a control lamp the car should be driven away on the nearest car repair shop for assessment of a condition of blocks and check of tightness of a hydraulic path of the brake system.
3. Short-term operation of a control lamp happens also at inclusion of ignition (even at the released parking brake).
Control lamp of pressure of motive oil
The control lamp of pressure of motive oil (red) has to light up at inclusion of ignition and die away right after start of the engine. The lamp blinking at the working engine demonstrates the pulsation decrease in working pressure of engine oil in the engine. Transition of the indicator to the mode of a constant luminescence says that pressure of oil fell to dangerously low level that is fraught with serious internal damages of the engine, up to its full exit out of operation. In both cases it is necessary to take urgent measures for adjustment of level of oil, identification and elimination of the reasons of pressure drop. |
Control lamp of a charge of the rechargeable battery
The control lamp of a charge has to light up at inclusion of ignition and die away right after start of the engine. Inclusion of this control lamp at the working engine warns the driver about violation of serviceability of functioning of system of a charge, i.e., the rechargeable battery passes the category mode. It is necessary to switch off at once everything consumers of the electric power on whose functioning traffic safety does not depend and to try not to allow an engine stop as the attempt of its start can lead to the final category of the battery. The car should be driven away at once on the nearest car repair shop for performing diagnostics of refusal and performance of necessary recovery repair. |
Control lamp "Check the engine"
The control lamp (amber) quickly lights up at inclusion of ignition. Operation of this indicator in any other time testifies to possible malfunction of one of systems of the engine, including systems of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases. In the absence of visible signs of refusals of functioning of systems of the power unit and decrease in dynamics of the vehicle, fixed by inclusion of a control lamp of violation can be the reason of increase in fuel consumption or increase in toxicity of emissions. Ignoring of signals of a control lamp is fraught with serious damages of the engine, up to a unit exit out of operation. At operation of a control lamp on the run it is necessary to stop immediately the movement, to park in the safe place and to kill the engine, then, later small time, to make start, watching at the same time behavior of a control lamp. If the lamp did not return to the normal mode of functioning and continues to burn, the car should be driven away on the nearest car repair shop for performing detailed diagnostics and performance of necessary recovery repair. Before elimination of malfunction of systems of the engine try to move with a moderate speed, avoiding sharp dispersals with full squeezing of the accelerator pedal.

Control lamp of system of additional safety (SRS)
This control lamp lights up at inclusion of ignition and has to die away right after implementation of start of the engine. if the lama continues to burn at the working engine (in the constant or flashing mode), it indicates existence of malfunction of components of the SRS system. At the corresponding complete set operation of this control lamp can be the testimony of malfunction in contours of side safety cushions, or devices of automatic emergency natyazhitel of seat belts. |
Control lamp of a reserve reserve of fuel
The control lamp is built in in fuel consumption measuring instrument (see below) and joins when in the fuel tank of the car there are less than 9.0 l of fuel and warns the driver about need to make gas station of the car at the first opportunity.

The device registers the current amount of fuel in a tank. The error of indications of the measuring instrument is minimum when the car holds strictly horizontal position. At movement of the car along twisting or hilly roads the error of the device increases. Functioning of the measuring instrument does not depend on position of the ignition key. The tag of F corresponds to a condition of full gas station, E - to an empty tank. The control lamp (A) which is built in the dial informs the driver on need at the first opportunity to make refueling of the car.
Index of temperature of cooling liquid of the engine

The device registers temperature of cooling liquid of the engine. Normal working temperature of the engine at operation of the car in usual conditions corresponds to the average provision of an arrow of the index. Under trying conditions operation, for example, in very hot weather or at long rise uphill the arrow of the index can rise to the top red mark in a scale (N). If temperature of the engine increased so that the arrow of the index comes into limits of red range of a scale of the measuring instrument (a tag And), it is necessary to stop immediately the movement, to move down on a roadside, to park the car and to make check of a condition of the cooling system regarding clarification of the reasons of an overheat of the engine (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
Odometer
The odometer fixes the general run of the car in kilometers or miles, depending on execution option.
Measuring instrument run/index of temperature of external air
The measuring instrument registers the current run of the car from the moment of the last dumping of indications (in kilometers or miles, depending on execution option). Dumping of indications of the measuring instrument is made by means of the special button which is built in in an instrument guard assemblies of a speedometer are more left.

2. On the models equipped with system of running fires of day time of day (DRL) head headlights automatically are transferred to the mode of passing beam at inclusion of ignition. Back marker lights are also automatically activated.
3. The majority of models is equipped with the alarm buzzer serving for the warning of the driver of need of shutdown of lighting before an exit from the car. The buzzer works in attempt of opening of a driver's door at the switched-off ignition (a key in position of LOCK or ASS) if the handle of the choice of the mode of external lighting is not transferred to situation "Vykl" O.

Switching of the modes of functioning of head headlights (passing/driving beam)
Inclusion of driving beam and alarm system headlights

1. A transfer of head headlights from the mode of passing beam in the mode of driving beam is made by transfer of the lever of the understeering switch to situation (1), - automatically on an instrument guard the corresponding control lamp of characteristic blue light has to light up (see above).
2. Also the possibility of the alarm system is provided by driving beam: the alarm system is carried out by easy push-up of the lever of the understeering switch in the direction of inclusion of driving beam (situation (2)) and irrespective of the chosen position of the handle of the choice of the mode of functioning of external lighting fixtures (see above).
Indexes of turns
Activation of indexes of turns

1. Activation of indexes of turns is made by push-up of the lever of the left understeering switch in the corresponding direction. The lever is transferred up or down, to dependences of the chosen direction of change of course.
2. At transfer of the lever to extreme top/lower situation (before click) the corresponding indexes of turns will continue to function until the steering wheel is not returned in rectilinear situation (the terminal switch will work), or so far the lever will not be returned in neutral situation.
3. Short-term inclusion of indexes, for example, at intention to replace a lane of the movement is made by easy procrastination of the lever up or down.
Washers of lenses of head headlights
2. Periodically check provisions of the spraying nozzles, - the stream of liquid given through them has to get on a surface of lenses.
3. You watch that at the tank of washers constantly there was a liquid.
Regulator of an inclination of optical axes of head headlights
1. The tilt angle of optical axes of head headlights changes depending on loading of the car.
2. For adjustment of a distance of lighting (at inclusion of passing beam) not to blind drivers of oncoming cars, it is possible to use the regulator of an inclination of optical axes of headlights.
3. The regulator has to be installed in the situation (according to the provided table) corresponding to the number of passengers and extent of loading of the car.

Switch of cleaners and washers of a windshield
1. Activation of cleaners and washers of wind is possible only at the included ignition (a key in position of ON or ASS).
2. For management of cleaners/washers of glasses one of three types of switches is used.
Switch of the first type

1. The first type of the switch is used for management of screen wipers without a possibility of adjustment of duration of pauses of the interval mode. In this case the lever of the understeering switch is not equipped with the rotary handle. The choice of the mode of functioning of cleaners is made by transfer of the lever to one of four possible provisions: |
2. Also the possibility of single operation of cleaners is provided, - rather slightly to delay the lever of the understeering switch on itself. This function is especially useful at the movement in fog or under a drizzle. Stronger procrastination of the lever will lead to operation of washers
3. Inclusion of washers of glass is made by means of procrastination on itself the lever of the understeering switch.

Switches of the second and third types
Two other types of switches are used for management of screen wipers with a possibility of adjustment of duration of pauses of the interval mode. The mentioned adjustment is carried out by rotation of the ring switch in the center of the handle of the lever of the understeering switch, or rotation of the face handle of the lever. Inclusion of all functions is made also as well as in case of switches of the first type (see above).
Switch of a cleaner and washer of back glass
1. A cleaner/washer of back glass are activated only at the included ignition (the key is turned in position of ON or ASS).
2. Inclusion of a cleaner is made by turning of the handle of management on the lever of the corresponding understeering switch. The cleaner has two operating modes of functioning: the mode of continuous work and the interval mode which inclusion is made by consecutive interpretation of the handle clockwise from zero situation (O). |
3. Supply of the washing liquid is made by means of turning of the handle counterclockwise from neutral situation (O).
Precautionary measures when using of cleaners and washers of glasses
1. Attempts of start of screen wipers at the brushes which froze slightly to glass are fraught with an electric motor exit out of operation as a result of an overheat, - previously glass should be cleared of ice/snow and to warm up by an obduv hot air (see the Section Comfort).
2. Avoid inclusion of screen wipers at dry glass, - it is fraught with developing of scratches on glass, and also considerably reduces service life of rubber working elements of brushes.
3. It is not necessary to include a washer continuously more than for 20 seconds, also avoid inclusion of washers at the empty tank, - it is fraught with failure of a driving electric motor of the giving pump. Periodically check liquid level in the tank, in case of need you make the corresponding adjustment (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
4. In cold season fill in only special frost-resistant structures in the tank of washers of glasses, - freezing of the washing liquid can lead to failure of the tank and tubes of the giving path.
5. Before use of washers in cold weather previously warm up glass, - freezing of liquid can lead to dangerous deterioration in the review to the driver.
Switch of the alarm light system
1. Turning on of the alarm system is made by push-up of the push-button switch which is built in in the central part of the dashboard of the car and usually equipped with an alarm lamp with the pictogram representing two triangles entered each other. |
2. Turning on of the alarm system leads to simultaneous operation of all four indexes of turns (and their control lamps on an instrument guard of the car). The alarm system is intended for the warning of other participants of traffic of the compelled stop of the car and is used also in other dangerous situations provided by traffic regulations.
Switch of an electrical heating of back glass / external rear-view mirrors
1. Inclusion of an electrical heating allows to remove from the surface of back glass of condensate, hoarfrost, and even thin frost. The button of inclusion of an electrical heating is located on the control panel of functioning of the heater/conditioner of air.

2. At inclusion of heating the light indicator which is built in the switch button lights up.
3. Shutdown of heating is made by repeated pressing the button.

On the models equipped with the air conditioning system shutdown of heating of glass it is made automatically in 20 minutes on a timer signal. Do not forget to check before a start of motion quality of the review through back glass of the car. |
4. The threadlike grid of a heating element of a heater is pasted on the internal surface of back glass and demands care in the address, - try not to damage a grid when wiping glass. Wiping should be made only along heater threads.
Switch of fog lights
Fog lights can be included only at the included marker lights and are automatically disconnected at switching off of the last. For inclusion of fog lights press the button of the switch which is built in the dashboard (see an accompanying illustration). The control lamp reminding to the driver that fog lights remain included is built in the button of the switch. Shutdown of headlights is carried out by repeated pressing the button. |
Switch of back foggy lamps
Activation of back foggy lamps becomes possible only at the included head and/or forward fog lights (at the corresponding complete set). For inclusion of foggy lamps press the button of the switch which is built in in the dashboard (directly under the button of inclusion of forward fog lights). The control lamp reminding to the driver that foggy lamps remain included on an instrument guard of the car also is built in the button the corresponding control lamp lights up (see above). Shutdown of lamps is carried out by repeated pressing the button.

Dashboard illumination brightness regulator

The regulator of brightness of illumination is located on the car dashboard, directly to the left of a steering column. The required intensity of illumination of the panel is made by rotation of an adjusting castor of a potentiometer.

Main saloon lamp, provisions of switches of management

The lamp is located in a forward part of the ceiling arch of the car and turns on automatically when opening doors. On the models equipped with the anticreeping alarm system when closing doors of a lamp of the lamp begin to reduce smoothly luminescence brightness before full switching off. The lamp consists of two separate sections providing independent illumination of the left and right half of salon and operated by individual switches.

Switching of the modes of functioning of the lamp is carried out by means of a set from three push-button switches located in a middle part of plafonny assembly, side buttons are intended for inclusion switching off of lamps of personal lighting. |
