8.6. Replacement of the module of management (ESM / PCM)

In order to avoid failure of the ROM elements at service of ECM/PCM it is necessary to put on a special bracelet for removal of static electricity!

The Mirage models (all) and Galant since 1999 of the issue.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. On these PCM models it is located in the lower part of a rack of a forward passenger door of the car (over a forward overlay of a threshold).

2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

3. Disconnect an electrical wiring, release clamps and remove PCM assembly.
4. Installation is made upside-down.

Galant 1994 ÷ models of 1998 of the issue.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Location of the module of management on the Galant 1994 ÷ models of 1998 of the issue is shown on an illustration.

2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

3. Remove both side sections of the central console.
4. Disconnect an electrical wiring, dismantle elements of fixture and remove assembly of the module of management from the car.
5. Installation is made upside-down.


Diamante models (all) and Galant 1990 ÷ of 1993 of the issue.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Location of the module of management on the Diamante and Galant 1990 ÷ models of 1993 of the issue is shown on illustrations.

2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

3. At the corresponding complete set of the car disconnect safety cushions.
4. Remove the lower section of finishing of the dashboard from the passenger, also remove an air duct sleeve.
5. Remove the drummer of the lock of a ware box, assembly of a box of an illustration its external casing. Turn out the screw located under a ware box.
6. Disconnect an electrical wiring, dismantle fixture and remove PCM.
7. Installation is made upside-down.
