Poddomkrachivaniye

The jack which is included in a basic equipment of the car is intended only for performing procedures of change of wheels. When carrying out any other repair or scheduled maintenance the car should be lifted by means of hydraulic (or cart) a jack and it is obligatory to establish on the special props got under the bearing bottom points (regular domkratny points).


If need for removal of wheels is absent, the car can be tired out on a viewing hole or a platform.


Do not get a jack under car thresholds, the pallet of a case, panels of a floor or directly under components of the steering drive or a suspension bracket at all!

Do not perform any repair work under the car enshrined in the lifted provision by means of only one jack! Surely use reliable props!


For a poddomkrachivaniye the car should be parked on a plain horizontal surface, whenever possible with a hard coating. In the presence of the slightest bias it is necessary to take care of precautionary measures against kickback: prop up the wheel located on diagonal from a subject to removal by antiretractable boots, firmly cock the parking brake, turn on the reverse gear (RKPP), or transfer the selector lever to situation "P" (AT). Try not to depart far from the poddomkrachenny car, especially if nearby there are children.

When performing change of wheels before poddomkrachivat the car, take off a decorative cap and a balloon key weaken nuts of fastening of the wheel which is subject to replacement. Prepare the spare wheel.

On some models the cap fastens on a disk wheel nuts which at this stage should be weakened only!


Get a jack under the car: back domkratny points are located from the rear edges of door drains, at a front poddomkrachivaniye the jack is got under a stretcher.

 


Take care of reliability of gearing of a head of a jack. Rotating the jack handle, lift the car so that the wheel which is subject to replacement came off the earth. Having thrown off fixing nuts, remove a wheel and establish on its place spare. Screw wheel nuts, then lower the car on the earth, remove a jack and hold on nuts of fastening of a wheel in a diagonal order with the required effort. Establish into place a cap. Put and remove the tool. Do not forget to put away antiretractable boots.

At a car poddomkrachivaniye for the purpose of its fixing in the lifted situation when performing more serious, than replacing a wheel, repair work the head of a hydraulic jack should be got under a forward median beam and/or under the arm fixed on the back panel of a floor. For the purpose of distribution of loading between a head of a jack and a surface of a domkratny point it is necessary to lay the wooden block.

Do not get a jack under a beam of the back panel of a floor at all! Props are got under regular forward and back domkratny points (see above).


Towage

Front-wheel models

In order to avoid deformation of a bumper the cars considered in the present manual should not be towed by means of the tow truck equipped with hummock carrying out, - try to call the tow truck providing the separation from the earth of wheels of one axis or equipped with a cargo platform.


The equipped RKPP of model can be towed by a front back provided that transmission is not damaged and switched to neutral transfer. The steering wheel has to be recorded in rectilinear situation by means of the special towing lock.

The lock which is built in the ignition lock the helmsman of a column is not capable to provide sufficient effort for deduction of forward wheels in rectilinear situation during towage of the car!.


Towage of the equipped AT of models can be made without separation forward wheels from the earth only with a speed no more than 50 km/h (30 miles/h) and not further than on 30 km (18 miles). If these conditions cannot be satisfied owing to any special circumstances, it is necessary to tow the car with a separation of forward wheels from the earth.

All-wheel drive models

Only two options of towage of all-wheel drive (AWD) models are allowed: without separation of wheels from the earth, or with their full separation. Non-performance of this condition can lead to failure of a viscous clutch coupling.
