The failed GTTs is subject to replacement. Manufacturers do not recommend to make attempts of carrying out recovery repair of the main brake cylinder.


Brake fluid is among aggressive chemical compounds and at contact with body panels destroys a paint and varnish covering. Before starting implementation of the procedure cover wings and the panel of a front of the car with special covers, or just old blankets.


Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Details of installation of the main brake cylinder are shown on illustrations.
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

3. Remove a plastic cover, by means of the syringe or a rubber pear pump out from the GTTs tank as the bigger amount of brake fluid is possible, then establish a cover into place.

4. Disconnect from GTTs and at once to a zakuporta brake lines.

5. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor switch of level of brake fluid, release fixture and remove the GTTs tank.

6. On models remove a basic arm of the tank of the main hydraulic cylinder of coupling from RKPP.
7. Give fixing nuts and remove GTTs from assembly of the vacuum amplifier of brakes.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Execute adjustment of a gap And between an end face of a rod of a pusher of the vacuum amplifier and a bottom of a nest in the GTTs primary piston. The nominal rate makes 0.65 ÷ 0.86 mm, with a depression depth in the amplifier of 67 kPa the gap will be reduced to 0.1 ÷ 0.3 mm.

2. Establish GTTs on assembly of the vacuum amplifier of brakes. Screw fixing nuts and tighten them with the required effort (10 H • м).
3. Establish into place and fix the GTTs tank.
4. Connect hydraulic lines and an electrical wiring of the sensor of level of brake fluid to the tank.
5. Further installation is made as it should be the return to an order of dismantle of components.
6. In conclusion fill in the fresh DOT 3 brake fluid in the tank, pump over a hydraulic path (see the Section Pumping of the Brake System) and execute adjustment of a pedal of a foot brake (see the Section Adjustment of a Pedal of a Foot Brake).
