Engines of 2.0 l and 2. 4 l

Implementation of this procedure will require a special mandrel under MD998285 epiploon, and also the MD998162 device for extraction of a cap from a forward cover of the engine.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Details of installation of balancing shaft on engines of 2.0 l and 2.4 l are presented on an illustration.
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

3. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.
4. Merge motive oil.
5. Remove an oil filter, the oil pressure sensor switch, buttering the sensor of the measuring instrument, a basic arm and sealing laying of an oil filter.
6. Remove the case pallet, a maslozabornik and sealing laying.
7. Turn out a cap and take components of the reducing valve of the oil pump (do not forget to remove a sealing washer).
8. Lower the car on the earth.
9. Hang out the engine on the winch.
10. Remove an arm of a forward support of a suspension bracket of the power unit and a belt of the drive of auxiliary units.
11. Take off gear belts and wheels of the GRM drive / a balancing shaft.
12. By means of the special MD998162 tool take a cap from a forward cover of the engine.
13. Take a stopper from a sidewall of the block and, having passed throughout the opened opening the cross screw-driver with a sting with a diameter of 8 mm, block it a balancing shaft.
14. Turn out a fastening bolt to a balancing shaft of the conducted gear wheel of the oil pump.
15. Turn out and mark bolts of fastening of a forward cover, - bolts have various length and at installation have to be rolled strictly on the former places.
16. Remove a forward cover of the case of the oil pump.

In case of need the balancing shaft can be taken assembled with a cover.

17. Remove epiploons balancing both cranked in bulk and sealing laying of a forward cover.
18. Take balancing shaft and estimate degree of their wear. Check passability of a maslotok of a shaft, check a condition of bearing necks. Measure sizes of working gaps in bearings and compare results of measurement to requirements of Specifications (the forward bearing of the right shaft: 0.03 ÷ 0.06 mm, back bearing of the right shaft: 0.02 ÷ 0.05 mm; forward bearing of the left shaft: 0.05 ÷ 0.09 mm, back bearing of the left shaft: 0.04 ÷ 0.08 oo). In case of need make replacement of the corresponding bearings, a shaft or forward cover.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Grease the surfaces of bearings and bearing necks of shaft with pure motive oil. Carefully fill balancing shaft in the engine block.
2. Carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces of the block and a forward cover of the engine, having in conclusion wiped with their rags moistened in acetone. Establish new sealing laying.
3. Having tracked correctness of combination of adjusting tags, put the conducting and conducted gear wheels in assembly of a forward casing of the oil pump.
4. Oil gear wheels motive. Having replaced sealing laying, establish a cover of the oil pump. screw fixing bolts and tighten them with the required effort (18 H • м).
5. Having used a face head of the corresponding size, or a piece of a pipe of suitable diameter as a mandrel, put in the nest in a forward casing of the engine a forward epiploon of a bent shaft.
6. Again having picked up a suitable mandrel, press an epiploon of a balancing shaft in a forward casing.
7. Fix the MD998285 tool on a pin of a bent shaft. Oil pure motive the outer edge of the directing tool.
8. Install a forward casing on the engine. Screw and temporarily tighten flange bolts.
9. Having replaced laying, establish a basic arm of an oil filter. Screw four fixing bolts and tighten them with the required effort (22 H • м).
10. Pass a 8-millimeter sting of the cross screw-driver throughout a side opening in the block.
11. Fix the conducted gear wheel of the oil pump on the left balancing shaft, - tighten a flange bolt with effort 40 H • m.
12. Put in a flute in a forward casing a new sealing ring. By means of a special driving head establish a stopper and tighten it with effort 27 H • m.
13. Fill in the nest in a basic arm of an oil filter components of the reducing valve (a plunger and a spring), tighten with the required effort (50 H • l) a cap.

Do not forget to replace sealing laying.

14. Carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces of the pallet of a case and the block of the engine.
15. Lay in a flute on a pallet flange a pillow of sealant about 4 mm wide (sealant is applied from the inside of bolted openings).
16. Not later than in 15 minutes after putting sealant press the pallet to the block and establish holders. Screw fixing bolts and tighten them with the required effort (8 H • м).
17. Establish measuring assembly and the sensor of pressure of motive oil. Restore initial connection of an electrical wiring.
18. Establish a new oil filter and fill in in the engine fresh engine oil of the corresponding grade (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
19. Install gear belts and other components of the GRM drive and balancing shaft. Make sure of correctness of combination of adjusting tags (see the Section Removal and installation of a cover of the GRM drive and a gas-distributing belt).
20. Install the other components which were removed for the purpose of ensuring access.
21. Connect a negative wire to the battery. Start the engine and check it for existence of signs of development of leaks.
22. Check correctness of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition. In case of need make the corresponding adjustment.
