For the purpose of ensuring access to coupling assembly usually remove the transmission, leaving the engine on the car. If the engine is already removed for performance of the general or capital repairs, the condition of components of coupling has to be checked without fail. Considering rather low cost of details and rather large volume of metalwork works on ensuring access to coupling assembly, it makes sense to make replacement of the last regardless of a condition of its components. The description of the procedure of removal of coupling without extraction of the engine from the car is given below. |
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
|
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action! |
2. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. 3. Remove assembly of transmission (see the Head the Manual transmission).
|
4. Attentively examine surfaces of a flywheel and assembly of a basket of coupling on marking existence (usually in the form of the letters of X or O put with white paint). If it is not possible to find marking, put it independently, having unambiguously marked the provision of a basket concerning a flywheel. |
5. Working in a diagonal order, in stages (on 1/4 turns for approach) evenly weaken bolts of fastening of a basket of coupling to a flywheel, having completely unloaded a diaphragm spring. Reliably supporting assembly, finally turn out bolts, then separate a basket from a flywheel and remove knot from the car.
6. Release a clamp and remove assembly of the release bearing.
|
It is not necessary to use solvent for washing of the release bearing! |
7. Estimate a condition of a fork of switching off of coupling and its basic surfaces. In case of need remove a fork and turn out its spherical support from a transmission case. 8. Attentively check a condition of all removed components (see further), replace the worn-out and damaged knots. |
