12.7. Removal and installation of the lower levers of a forward suspension bracket

Details of installation of the lower levers of a forward suspension bracket on the Galant 1994 ÷ models of 1998 of the issue.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

2. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props, - wheels have to be completely torn off from the earth.
3. Disconnect a rack of the stabilizer of cross stability from the lower lever.
4. Release a finger of the lower spherical support from assembly of a rotary fist.
5. Give a fixing nut and take a through bolt of fastening of an internal support of the lever to a frame.
6. Turn out back fixing bolts, at the corresponding complete set remove a collar.
7. In case of need remove the plug of a back rod.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If removed, install the plug of a back rod on assembly of the lower lever.
2. Install assembly of the lever on the car and temporarily tighten a nut of a through bolt.
3. Establish a collar, bolts and replaceable nuts of a back support. Tighten bolts with effort 100 ÷ 120 H • m, nuts - 40 H • m.
4. Fill a finger of a spherical support in assembly of a rotary fist and tighten a new fixing nut with the required effort (60 ÷ 72 H • м).
5. Connect a rack of the stabilizer of cross stability to the lever.
6. Lower the car on the earth for final tightening of fixture.
7. After all mass of the car is postponed for a suspension bracket tighten nuts of through bolts of the lower levers of a suspension bracket with the required effort (102 ÷ 122 H • м).
8. Connect a negative wire to the battery.
9. Execute check and adjustment of angles of installation of forward wheels.


Galant 1994 ÷ models of 1998 of the issue.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Details of installation of the lower levers of a suspension bracket on the Galant 1994 ÷ models of 1998 of the issue are shown on an accompanying illustration. Both spherical support are built in in bodies of the sections of the lower lever and in case of their exit out of operation are subject to replacement assembled with the last.
2. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.

3. Give a fastening bolt nut to cross section of the lower lever of a damping fork of the shock-absorber, take a bolt. Release fingers of the lower spherical support from a rotary fist.

4. For removal of cross section of the lever it is necessary to dismantle arms of the lower beam previously.
5. Give fixture of the internal end of cross section of the lower lever and remove assembly of the last from the car.
6. Turn out two fixing bolts and remove jet section of the lower lever.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Put rubber plugs in assemblies of sections of the lower lever.
2. Establish cross section of the lower lever of a suspension bracket on the regular place. Fill an internal fixing bolt and temporarily tighten a new nut of its fastening.
3. Establish jet section of the lever.
4. Fill fingers of both spherical support in assembly of a rotary fist. Screw new fixing nuts and tighten them with the required effort (59 ÷ 71 H • м).
5. Lower the car on the earth and finally tighten the corresponding fixture of cross section with the required effort (98 ÷ 118 H • м: an internal bolt and 88 H • м: a bolt of fastening of a damping fork).
6. With the required effort (83 H • l) tighten bolts of fastening of jet section.
7. Establish into place arms of the lower beam and tighten bolts of their fastening with effort 69 ÷ 78 H • m.
8. Make adjustment of angles of installation of forward wheels.


Mirage models

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Details of installation of assembly of the lower lever of a suspension bracket on the Mirage models are shown on an illustration.
2. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Remove the corresponding forward wheel.
3. Remove from assembly of the lower lever of a suspension bracket of a rack of the stabilizer of cross stability, or give nuts and take fixing bolts. Remove cups and plugs of connecting knots.
4. Release a finger of a spherical support from a rotary fist.
5. Give a nut and take an internal bolt of fastening of assembly of the lower lever.
6. Turn out bolts of a back fixing collar and remove assembly of the lower support from the car.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish assembly of the lower lever on the regular place and tighten a nut of an internal fixing bolt with the required effort (108 H • м).
2. Establish a back fixing collar and tighten bolts of its fastening with effort 90 H • m.
3. Fill a finger of a spherical support in assembly of a rotary fist. Screw a new nut and tighten it with effort 60 ÷ 72 H • m.
4. Fix a rack of the stabilizer of cross stability on assembly of the lever.
5. Lower the car on the earth and finally tighten fixture with the required effort.
6. Establish a wheel.
