Diamante models

Final tightening of fixture marked with an asterisk is made after lowering of the power unit.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Details of installation of assembly of AT on the Diamante models are shown on illustrations.
2. Disconnect SRS (safety cushion) (see the Head Onboard electric equipment).
3. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.
4. Remove forward wheels.
5. Remove a side cover and protection of a case of the engine.
6. Merge from ATF transmission case.
7. At the corresponding complete set of the car remove assembly of the forward catalytic converter.
8. Remove an exhaust pipe, the main muffler and assembly of the catalytic converter.
9. Release a tip of steering draft and a spherical support of the lever of a suspension bracket from assembly of a rotary fist.
10. Otboltite basic bearing of the left power shaft.
11. Hooking mount, release power shafts from transmission.
12. Remove assembly of the air cleaner with the air inlet sleeve connected to it.
13. Disunite the socket of a braid of an electrical wiring of the engine.
14. On models with an active suspension bracket (Active-ECS) remove assembly of the compressor from transmission and tie up it a wire, - do not allow hang of the compressor on an air hose.
15. At the corresponding complete set remove a basic arm of a jet emphasis of a suspension bracket of the power unit.
16. Disconnect a speedometer drive cable from transmission.
17. Release a fixing collar and disconnect a gear shifting drive cable from transmission.
18. Disconnect from a transmission case oil cooler hoses, - at once to a zakuporta the open ends of hoses in order to avoid hit in system of dirt.
19. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor switch of permission of start, the sensor switch of the servo-driver of the kickdown mode, the pulse generator, the sensor of temperature of ATF and the electromagnetic valve of management of switching of transmission.
20. Prop up transmission a jack and remove an arm of a support of its suspension bracket.
21. Turn out three top bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine.
22. On models remove the thermofilter of the oil pump 4WS from 4WS and remove pump assembly, - try not to allow tension of oil hoses.
23. On the models equipped with the Active-ECS system disconnect a suspension bracket height sensor rod from assembly of the lower control lever of a suspension bracket.
24. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the oxygen sensor to the right beam.
25. Remove assembly of a starter.
26. Remove the basic arms blocking access to a back cover of a dome of transmission.
27. Uncover the transmission dome/pallet.
28. Turn out bolts of fastening of a flexible disk to the rotation converter.
29. Turn out the lower fixing bolts, separate transmission from the engine and take it from under the car.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Press transmission to the engine, screw fixing bolts and tighten them with the required effort (75 H • l)
2. Screw bolts of fastening of the converter of rotation to a driving disk and tighten them with the required effort (46 ÷ 53 H • м).
3. Establish transmission case dome/pallet covers.
4. Establish all arms of support of a suspension bracket of the power unit which were removed for the purpose of ensuring access to a back cover of transmission.
5. Establish into place a starter.
6. Screw a bolt of fastening of a plait of an electrical wiring of the oxygen sensor to the right beam and tighten it with the required effort (10 ÷ 12 H • м).

7. On models with Active-ECS connect a suspension bracket height sensor rod to the lower control lever. Adjust length of a rod And, - the required value makes 269 ÷ 270 mm.

8. At the corresponding complete set install into place the pump 4WS and its thermofilter. Tighten bolts of fastening of the pump and its screen with the required effort (24 H • м).
9. Screw three top bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine. Tighten bolts with the required effort
(75 H • м).

One of the top bolts is used also for fastening of the tire of grounding.

10. Establish a transmission suspension bracket support arm. Tighten fixture (bolts and nuts) of a support with the required effort (70 H • м).
11. Connect an electrical wiring to the electromagnetic valve of management switching of AT, to the kickdown mode servo-driver sensor switch, the pulse generator, the sensor of temperature of ATF and the sensor switch of permission of start (PNP).
12. Connect hoses of the oil cooler to transmission and fix them on the unions by new collars.
13. Connect to transmission and fix by a collar a switching drive cable.
14. Connect a speedometer drive cable to transmission.
15. At the corresponding complete set establish an arm of a jet emphasis of a suspension bracket of the power unit and tighten a nut of its through bolt with effort 50 ÷ 60 H • m. Two remained bolts tighten with effort 22 H • m.
16. On models with Active-ECS establish into place assembly of the air compressor and tighten bolts of its fastening with the required effort (5 H • м).
17. Connect the contact socket of a braid of an electrical wiring of the engine.
18. Establish assembly of the air cleaner with an air inlet sleeve.
19. Having replaced lock rings, put power shafts in transmission. Screw a bolt of fastening of the basic bearing of the left shaft and tighten it with the required effort (45 H • м).
20. Put a tip of steering draft and a spherical support of the lower lever of a suspension bracket in assembly of a rotary fist. Tighten koronchaty nuts of spherical fingers with the required effort (60 ÷ 72 H • м: a support and 30 H • м: a tip). Block nuts new forelocks.
21. Having replaced sealing laying, establish into place the removed sections of system of production of the fulfilled gases.
22. Establish protection of a case. Fill in in transmission the corresponding number of ATF of the required grade (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
23. Start the engine and check it for existence of signs of development of leaks.


The Galant models for 1993 the issue.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. On the models equipped with a control system of speed remove the actuation mechanism of a tempostat assembled with the basic arm.
2. At the corresponding complete set disconnect the air compressor of the Active-ECS system.
3. Merge from ATF transmission.
4. Remove assembly of the air cleaner, the built-in cooler and a sleeve of an air duct.
5. Previously having marked, disconnect an electrical wiring from the electromagnetic valve, the PNP sensor switch, the pulse generator of the servo-driver of the kickdown mode and the sensor of temperature of ATF.
6. Disconnect a cable of the drive of a speedometer and the line of the oil cooler from transmission.
7. Having disconnected an electrical wiring, remove assembly of a starter.
8. Turn out the top bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine.
9. Prop up transmission a jack remove an arm of a support of its suspension bracket.
10. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Remove elements of protection of a case.
11. Disconnect steering drafts and the lower levers of a suspension bracket from assemblies of rotary fists.
12. Release power shafts from a transmission case (in order to avoid damage of internal CV JOINTS do not pull for shaft, and hook them mount, - try not to damage epiploons). Tie up shaft a wire to bottom elements.
13. On the AWD models disconnect system of production of the fulfilled gases and remove the transfer case.
14. Remove the lower cover of a dome of transmission and turn out special bolts of fastening of a flexible disk to the rotation converter. For the purpose of ensuring serial access to each of bolts, turn a bent shaft of the engine for a pulley bolt by means of a face key. Having turned out all bolts, wring out the converter in transmission, - if the converter remains on the engine, it will lead to hit of oil in its nave that is fraught with an assembly exit out of operation.
15. Turn out the lower fixing bolts, disconnect transmission from the engine and take it from under the car.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Having fixed the rotation converter in transmission, press assembly of the last to the engine. Screw bolts of fastening of a driving disk and tighten them with the required effort (46 ÷ 53 H • м). Screw and tighten with effort 48 H • mbolta of fastening of transmission. Establish a dome cover.
2. On all-wheel drive models (AWD) establish assembly of the transfer case with frame elements. Having replaced sealing laying, establish the removed sections of system of production of the fulfilled gases.
3. Having replaced lock rings, fill internal pins of power shafts in transmission.
4. Fill tips of helmsmen of draft and spherical support of levers of a suspension bracket in rotary fists.
5. Establish a transmission suspension bracket support arm.
6. Establish protection of a case.
7. Establish a starter.
8. Connect a cable of the drive of a speedometer and hoses of the oil cooler to transmission.
9. Connect an electrical wiring to the electromagnetic valve, the PNP sensor switch, the pulse generator of the kickdown servo-driver and the sensor of temperature of ATF.
10. At the corresponding complete set install into place the air compressor of the Active-ECS system.
11. On the models equipped with a control system of speed install into place the actuation mechanism of a tempostat with a basic arm.
12. Fill in in transmission the corresponding number of ATF of the required grade (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance). On the AWD models check liquid level in the transfer case.
13. Start the engine and let's it work on single turns within not less than 2 minutes. Cock the parking brake and consistently to a popereklyuchayta the selector lever in each of the provided provisions, having in conclusion returned it to situation "N".
14. Check the ATF level, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment.


The Galant models since 1994 of the issue.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

2. Remove assembly of the air cleaner with sleeves of air inlets.
3. Merge from ATF transmission.
4. Give a nut of fastening of the lever of switching to transmission. Release a collar and disconnect a driving cable from transmission.
5. Remove a basic arm of a cable of the drive of switching.
6. Previously having marked, disconnect an electrical wiring from a speedometer, the electromagnetic valve, the PNP sensor switch, the pulse generator, the servo-driver of the kickdown mode and the sensor of temperature of ATF.
7. Mark and disconnect from transmission of the line of the oil cooler.
8. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove from transmission the measuring probe with the directing tube.
9. Remove and shift assembly of a starter aside.
10. Podporite engine MZ203827 adaptation.
11. Remove an arm of a back jet emphasis of a suspension bracket of the power unit.
12. Remove a transmission suspension bracket support arm.
13. Turn out the top bolts of fastening of transmission.
14. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.
15. Remove forward wheels.
16. Remove the right section of protection of a case.
17. Take the forelock and disconnect a tip of steering draft from assembly of a rotary fist.
18. Disconnect a rack of the stabilizer of cross stability from assembly of a damping fork.
19. Disconnect a damping fork from a cross control lever of a suspension bracket.
20. Release spherical support of the lower and szhimny levers and a suspension bracket from a rotary fist.
21. Having hooked mount, release power shafts from transmission and tie up them a wire to car bottom elements.
22. Uncover a transmission dome.
23. Turn out a through bolt of a forward jet emphasis of a suspension bracket of the power unit.
24. Remove a beam and the right triangular knitsa.
25. Turn out bolts of fastening of a flexible disk to the converter of rotation and wring out the last in transmission.
26. Prop up transmission a cart jack and turn out the lower coupling bolt.

The coupling bolt is screwed in transmission from the engine and located directly over an opening under installation of a power shaft.

27. Having shifted back, separate transmission from the engine and take it from under the car.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Having fixed the rotation converter in transmission, press assembly of the last to the engine. Screw bolts of fastening of transmission and tighten them with the required effort (48 H • м).
2. Screw the lower coupling bolt and tighten it with effort 29 ÷ 34 H • m.
3. Connect the rotation converter to a flexible disk, screw fixing bolts and tighten them with the required effort (45 ÷ 52 H • м).
4. Establish a cover of a dome and tighten bolts of its fastening with effort 9 H • m.
5. Establish a beam and tighten bolts of its fastening with the required effort (88 H • м: lobbies and 73 H • м: back).
6. Screw and freely tighten a through bolt of a forward jet emphasis of a suspension bracket of the power unit.

 Final tightening of a bolt with effort 57 H • m is made after lowering of the engine.

7. Establish a triangular knitsa and tighten bolts of her fastening with effort 88 H • m.
8. Having replaced lock rings, fill internal pins of power shafts in transmission, - try not to damage epiploons.
9. Fill a tip of steering draft and spherical support of levers of a suspension bracket in a rotary fist. Tighten koronchaty nuts of hinges with the required effort (65 H • м: support and 28 H • м: a draft tip).
10. Connect a damping fork to the lower lever of a suspension bracket and tighten a through bolt of its fastening with effort 88 H • m.
11. Connect a rack of the stabilizer of cross stability to a fork and tighten самоконтрящуюся a nut with effort 39 H • m.
12. Establish protection of a case.
13. Establish wheels and carefully lower the car on the earth.
14. Establish an arm of a support of a suspension bracket of the power unit on transmission and tighten fixing nuts with effort 43 H • m.
15. Establish an arm of a back jet emphasis of a suspension bracket of the unit.
16. Remove propping up the engine adaptation and tighten a through bolt of a support of transmission with the required effort (69 H • м). Also finally tighten a bolt of a forward jet emphasis.
17. Screw the top bolts of fastening of transmission and tighten them with the required effort (48 H • м).
18. Establish a starter.
19. Install the measuring probe with the directing tube.
20. Establish a basic arm of a cable of the drive of switching.
21. Connect the lever of switching and tighten a nut of its fastening with effort 19 H • m.
22. Connect to transmission of the line of the oil cooler and fix them on unions by new collars.
23. Connect an electrical wiring to the electromagnetic valve, the PNP sensor switch, the pulse generator, the kickdown servo-driver and the sensor of temperature of ATF.
24. Establish assembly of the air cleaner.
25. Connect a negative wire to the battery.
26. Make sure that the car is installed horizontally and fill in in transmission the necessary number of ATF of the required grade (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
27. Start the engine and let's it work on single turns within not less than 2 minutes. Cock the parking brake and consistently to a popereklyuchayta the selector lever in each of the provided provisions, having in conclusion returned it to situation "N".
28. Check the ATF level, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment.
29. Check serviceability of functioning of AT. Make sure that start of the engine is obviously possible only in provisions "P" and "N" of the lever of the selector.


Mirage models

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

10. On models with 4-staged transmission disconnect an electrical wiring from the electromagnetic valve of management of switching, the PNP sensor switch, the sensor switch of the servo-driver of the kickdown mode, the pulse generator and the sensor of temperature of ATF.
11. Disconnect a cable of the drive of a speedometer and remove a starter.
12. Turn out fixing bolts and remove a transmission suspension bracket support arm.
13. Disconnect the stabilizer of cross stability from the lower lever of a suspension bracket.
14. Release hinges of a tip of steering draft and a spherical support of the lever of a suspension bracket from a rotary fist.
15. Release power shafts from transmission and tie up them to car bottom elements.
16. Prop up the engine and remove the central beam.
17. Uncover a dome of transmission and turn out bolts of fastening of a driving disk.
18. Turn out the lower coupling bolt located directly over an opening under installation of a power shaft.
19. Prop up transmission a cart jack, then shift it to the right, having separated from the engine, and take from under the car.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Having fixed the rotation converter in transmission, press assembly of the last to the engine. Screw bolts of fastening of transmission and tighten them with the required effort (43 ÷ 55 H • м: for models for 1992 of the issue and 48 H • м: for models since 1993 of the issue).
2. Tighten bolts of fastening of a driving disk with effort 46 ÷ 53 H • m, then establish a transmission dome cover.
3. Establish the central beam.
4. Having replaced lock rings, fill internal pins of power shafts in transmission, - try not to damage epiploons.
5. Fill tips of steering draft, spherical support of levers of a suspension bracket and a rack of the stabilizer of cross stability in rotary fists.
6. Establish a transmission suspension bracket support arm.
7. Establish a starter.
8. Connect a speedometer drive cable.
9. Connect an electrical wiring to the electromagnetic valve, the PNP sensor switch, the pulse generator, the kickdown servo-driver and the sensor of temperature of ATF.
10. Connect cables of management and the line of the oil cooler to transmission.
11. On models of 1.6 l establish a tension rod.
12. Establish assembly of the air cleaner.
13. Install the battery with the pallet.
14. Connect to the battery an electrical wiring (at first a positive wire, then - negative).
15. Make sure that the car is installed horizontally and fill in in transmission the necessary number of ATF of the required grade (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
16. Start the engine and let's it work on single turns within not less than 2 minutes. Cock the parking brake and consistently to a popereklyuchayta the selector lever in each of the provided provisions, having in conclusion returned it to situation "N".
17. Check the ATF level, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment.
18. Check serviceability of functioning of AT. Make sure that start of the engine is obviously possible only in provisions "P" and "N" of the lever of the selector.
